I have a amd 64 3200+. I had a sff but i got a new case for better air flow. Right now i have a zalman heatsink on my cpu and its reading 54c in speed fan and bios. When i installed teh zalman heatsink i didnt use the bracket it came with but something similar. My mb has a bracket with sticky tape on it and it wont come off so this is how i installed my zalman. I opened teh case door and still the same temp 53c or 54c. I dont know whats wrong it would tell me my cpu is going up to 60c to 65c. Speed fan has the fan at full speed and still no differance i have as5 and made sure i didnt put a thick layer because one guy told me not to its very thin layer and i dont remember if i spread it it or not. When i play games like bf2 my fps is very low for my vid card (7800gt) around 30fps and settings are on high but not resoulution.

Are you sure your HS is making proper contact because from the looks of things, it doesn't seem to be . . . 60 - 66 C would be high even for stock cooling . . . (and is near the threshold of your CPU's maximum temps)

You bracket doesn't come off? What mobo do you have . . . or do you mean the metal backplate because that can be taken off by heating it up with a blow dryer first . . . (to melt the glue)
