CPU Reccomendation!!! I was given MoBo and case

Hi all I am new here.

I was given a Antec Full Tower. Also a ABIT KT7 mobo. It has a 300 watt power supply. I have good PC-133 memory and everything else. All I need is a good CPU. I was thinking of a Duron 800 and then OC it a bit. I would really appreciate opinions. I am not new at computers and have done tons of reading but I would love "real world" thoughts.

get the lowest Duron for now and then o/c it to whatever...upgrade when the palomino's come out and get a cheap t-bird or something yo

if it is temporary solution then get a duron as mitaiwan suggests. The tbirds are only 10-15% faster and in real life you don't notice that anyways. I think the best overclockers are 600 or 650 but they are harder to find. The 800 and 850 cpus can do 1000 pretty easily too. I think a 1gig duron should be ample for most needs.

I couldnt belive it either I just orderd a 750 duron I think that will be plenty for now!!!
