Let me start his out by saying I am good but not great with computers. I know the basics, enough to build a rig, but the real intricate stuff I don't know real well. When I turned my pc on today I got an error code on my MB. I knew something was wrong right away, my monitor was turned on but went immediately into standby mode, so I figured something was up. When I looked at my MB I saw the code "C0". I have a EVGA 122-CK-NF68-A1 board, I looked in the manual and it said a C0 code was "a base CPU test - Read/Write CPU Registers". So I next shutdown my pc and rebooted. This time I got a picture, it said the pc was in safe mode now and that I should change some settings, I believe in the CMOS but I can't remember 100%. So I hit delete or whatever to get into the settings. I went thru them with my limited knowledge, nothing jumped out at me so I decided to exit w/o saving and then my pc automatically restarted itself. Everything went fine with the restart and now my pc is running like normal. The temperatures and everything seem to be fine.

So I thought I would post on here hoping someone would give my something to shoot for. My processor is a Q6600, I haven't overclocked a thing on my pc, not even ram timings or anything. If you need more info on my pc I will post it accordingly.

Sounds like when you first turned it on for whatever reason the motherboard had a hiccup and froze.
So you improperly shut it down and on next boot it complained about you doing so. Which is not what I'd call safe mode; that usually has more to do with the OS. Not during POST.
Then all was well.

I'd say your fine, but someone with a 680i board would have more insight into this than I.
