CPU prices going down soon?

I read on Hot Deals forum that CPU prices will drop by a significant margin (more than the daily decrease occuring now) when Intel introduces their 1.7GHz P4. It's supposed to be late April like 4/15 or 4/23 (articles linked to it said those dates). Now... Is there any truth to this (the significant price drop) that I should wait longer to get a new CPU? I suppose I can wait a week or two just to find out and save some money, but I'd rather get it earlier =P
