CPU prices for a 7850?

How much is a used Athlon X2 7850 BE going for now? I just sold one on ebay a lot faster than I thought.

I sold it using buy it now around that price range.

What's remarkable is that its (very lightly) used, and I bought it in May 2009 during the transition period between AM2/AM3 and DDR2/DDR3. And prices now are still the same if not higher since then.

Thanks to AMD's backwards compatibility on like half their platforms people can use a wide range of processors so the price never really drops.

yeah, and thanks to intel's domination of the high end, amd's price compression coupled with their backward compatibility make chips that phenom ii-based almost worthless unless your motherboard can't support them.
