Why are there so many AMD high end price increases today?
I thought October 15th was going to be helpful!
AMD is knocking me off my building plans!
I have to start looking at the opponent's offerings!
Ouch!

It's too much of a coincidence that AMD and Intel
have red increases all over the low price list on
the same day.

This looks like a Christmas season price jack-up!

AMD's increases were much higher overall.
They think they are in the driver's seat.

They were - but now I have to do some
serious prices comparisons. The motherboards
that accompany an AMD chip purchase are
generally higher than the opponents.

If they are on the increase, it could be due the the usual "supply and demand". AMD right now is the best recommended choice, and there could be a shortage due to this. And I don't know where you get off saying the motherboards are higher, one of the most popular boards on the Chaintech vnf3-250 at (I think) $77. exspensive ????

AMD has nothing like the factories that Intel does to produce new chips, so if AMD is going up via supply and demand Intel shouldn't be IMO

Intel may be following suite, just to make money. I really don't know, it was just a guess, but it seesm logical to me.

Isn't AMD supposed to be cutting prices on Oct 15th? They may be running up prices "silently" to give themselves some headway with cutting prices in the next few days.
