CPU Power Phase going from 1-4 in ASRock tuner?

In the IES (Intelligent Energy Saver) tab there is a meter showing your CPU Power Phase. My MB is supposed to be 4+2, however in that screen most of the time it shows a "1" there, only briefly showing "4" for brief periods of time.

No other issues with system, performance is good so far, should this be cause for concern?

I know this post is over 2 years old, but this is the first result that comes up on Google when I search for this exact situation. Could someone shed some more light on this?

It just means that the CPU load isn't very high, and the required power can be satisfied from only one of the power phases; the others are disabled to save power.

I prefer all of the power phases to be operating, it spreads the load out more, and therefore, each individual power phase runs cooler. It does use more power overall though.

You can always try a quick run with Prime95 to stress the CPU. It's usually the only way to see the CPU operating at its full speed and power requirements.
