CPU power consumption

I was thinking of overclocking my CPU, some people say it gonna use a lot more power and I need to upgrade my PSU (460w) others say it won't use much more power and ill be fine.

Need some insight.
 
That partly depends on the quality of the PSU. There are many low quality PSUs which can barely provide half their rated power. The amps available on the 12V rail(s) is important as well.
