I currently have an Abit AB9 and an Abit QuadGT. The standard AB9 uses a 4 pin CPU power connector. The QuadGT uses an 8 pin. Do you need a certain type of PSU to get the 8 pin connector? For example, my NeoHE 550w has both, but I was looking at the EarthWatts PSUs on newegg and they don't look like they have both -

So does that mean it isn't compatible, or am I missing something?

I was especially curious, because it looks like the new Abit boards like the IP35 and IP35-e both use the 8 pin.

Also, 24 pin main connector is the standard now, right?
Thanks in advance!

You generally don't find the dual CPU connector (4x2) until the PSU is 550W and up.

The EarthWatts 500 has an 8-pin EPS12V & a 4-pin ATX12V power connector.
