Cpu overclocking.

im gogin ot overclock my 1800 when i get my new kt400 mainboard.

one quick question.

what is this vcore people keep talking about? Why would i need to change this, and what are safe settings that it could be used at. thx

XP 1800+ Palomino --> 1.75 V.
Thoroughbred A --> 1.5 V.
B --> 1.6 V.

Safest way to overclock is to leave the Vcore alone, & raise the fsb & memory settings.

It is the voltage going to the cpu (core)

why i need to change it?

becuase the moer power you supply, the more you can push out of the cpu
