CPU or motherboard problem?

My computer won't boot.
Not even a error message beep.
the only thing i see is the pc case light flashing.
any idea what is wrong??
please help

You're gonna have to give more info than that like your specs, what you have tried, did the computer ever boot before, what did you do just before this happened, etc.

Asus A7A266 motherboard
athon 1.0 ghz
256 ddr ram

i changed the hsf for the cpu...
only thing i did.
it was working fine at first
suddenly
it won't boot anymore..
tried another cpu...same result.

Maybe you didn't mount the hsf correctly and burned out the CPU.
