CPU OC'ing and Hardrive performance

Hi all,

I know this might be a stupid question but... would a Q6600 oc'ed to 3.6ghz access/write to, load etc, faster than a Q6600 at 2.4GHz stock? In other words does the CPU's speed affect at all the performance at which heavy I/O work is done on your computer?

No, i/o speeds are not dependent on cpu speeds.
