Here is the info from my 1.4 GHz T-bird processor:

A1400AM53C
AYHJA0128MPM
40B76030244

anyone know what these all mean?

Initial temps on an MSI K7T TURBO-R LIMITED EDITION mother board are:

51c / 123f CPU temp
31c / 87f Case temp

The CPU is being cooled with an AMD retail box heat sink and fan. The case is the Antec SX1030B with the two stock antec 80mm fans in the rear. I am running a plextor 16x burner and I could not here the thing running at all. I did have a room fan running to cool me off, no AC on in the room at the time. The true decible test will be done later but even while the drive was loading software I couldn't hear it. I had to keep checking the LED's to see if it was on.

How are my temps? I say initial temps since the system was on for a few hours while I was installing software. Once everything was done loading I checked the temps. Thanks

There's a link somewhere explaining all those numbers, but I can't remember it so I'll just tell ya what i know.

The first letters mean that you have an Athlon 1400 (duh!...hehe) and the C at the end of the first line means it has a 266 front side bus.

They AYHJA at the beginning of the second line is the stepping code of the processor.

Can't remember what the rest mean...

As for your temps, that's about what I'd expect for the retail heat sink and fan to do. No problems in that area.

Let me take a stab at your questions:

The only relevant info in your Info for the T-Bird is the 1st line, and it breaks down as follows:
A....................Family/Architecture: A = AMD Athlon Processor Model 4 Architecture
1400..............Speed: 1400 = 1400 MHz
A....................Package Type: A = PGA
M...................Operating Voltage: M = 1.75V, P = 1.7V
S (not 5)........Case Temperatures: S = 95C, T = 90C
3....................Size of L2 Cache: 3 = 256Kbytes
C...................Max FSB: B = 200MHz, C = 266MHz
everything after that is probably a serial number.

The above info came from AMD's site.

As for your temps, I run a Duron 800MHz 24/7 and it usually runs about 115F for the CPU and 80F for the Case, so your figures aren't bad at all.:)
