Ok so today I turned on my computer, was in it for a while, and then it froze. So I casually restart it only to notice no beeps in the beg of the computer starting up, and the monitor would not show a picture of the bios/windows xp logo, anything. It just does not start up, I get no picture from the monitor, which means video is not working. I have tried another video card and get the same thing. I used to get 3 beeps in the middle, and on the 3rd, vuala, video pops up, and all is well, but now I get no beeps. System starts, and cpu fans spin, but I hear no beeps like I was before and see no video. I dont know if this is a common problem or not with the Soyo Dragon + boards, but I really dont know what to do. I tried swapping harddrives, and that did not solve anything. I took the ATX conector off, then took the 2-3 jumper off of JP5 or the CMOS, and put it back, hoping to clear the CMOS, dont know if it worked or not, dont think so. Problem is still here. It was very weird as I did not do anything else to cause, CPU was just doing its normal everyday routine. I dont know where my problem is. At first I thought it was the video card, since it might not be connecting with the mobo correctly, and then I swapped my ATI Radeon 8500 for a Voodoo 5500, and still the same problem. I also tried a different monitor, and nothing, so I know it cant be the video card of the monitor. Are there any other things it might be? I could really use some help on this. Thanks again.

Clearing the CMOS usually requires moving the jumper over to the next 2 pin-out set and applying power for a second. Then power-off and replace the jumper to it's original position and then apply the power and see if it posts.
If not, it's probably RMA time.

PS All other cards (except the video) should be removed at this point to make sure none of them is the culprit.

So you mean if its on 2-3 now, then I should put it on 1-2, then turn power on for a second or so, then turn off? Do I do this with the ATX connector plugged in, and do I put the jumper all the way down or only half. Would the system start with the jumper moved? I believe I tried it earlier and the system would not even start, power button did not work. I have no other cards in PCI slots, just the video card in AGP.

I dont want to RMA, and am trying to stay with this and figure it out;. Any other help would be appreciated. Thanks

You can leave the unit plugged in, but do turn it off. Remove the CMOS jumper from the 1-2 position, place in the 2-3 position,
count to ten and return the jumper to the 1-2 position.

All post-up processes through the RAM, and somtime the settings in the BIOS are too agressive, and a restart will not post.
Grounding the CMOS returns the BIOS to the default settings, and will usually allow the computer to be re-started, and the BIOS to be re-adjusted.
Some systems - it depends on the motherboard brand, can be re-set by holding the INSERT key down, and turning off the power button,
usually by just holding both the key down and the button pushed in until it turns off. ( ABITS are like that)

If it still will not start, remove the Memory stick(s) and then put it back in, reseating RAM modules sometimes works, as there may be an intermittent contact.

Soyo's Info on your issue

I've got the same board. Worked great for a few months, but now it will only work with a single stick of RAM at default settings. Getting ready to RMA it as soon as i get my new system built.
