Looking for a cheap upgrade, so I found this on newegg.com CPU and MoBo deal.

Now with that deal the mobo there has an 8pin connector for the CPU power, but 4 of the pins are covered by a cap. That leads me to believe in some circumstances 4pin would be fine. In others 8pin would be needed. Otherwise why make a cap for 4 pins?
Anyway, the CPU as you see from the link is 2 cores.
