Has anyone ever heard of a cpu needed to reset motherboard to working order?
I have a MSI K8N with 3500+
The 3500+ died in an overclock.
I put a new 3500+ and it wouldnt work, brand new from local store.
It would not post.
I put in a used 3200+ and WHAM it fired up.
Do you think I should try the new 3500 now or do you think if it didnt work before it most likley wont work if I try again?
So, question remains, does a mobo sometimes have to hit post before its reset and similar cpu can be reinstalled?
sound very silly I know but I was just curious
