CPU Multiplier used has an effect on overclock???

Although 2585mhz is a good overclock and about the normal max for most Winchester, you could possibly go higher using a lower CPU multi. Experiment with the 10x and 9x multis and higher HTT.

why would lowering multiplier of CPU help, anyone know???

it might allow you to use a higher fsb

3000+ winnie maxes out with 9 multi at 278 when at 8.5 it goes the full 300
