Edit: Ignore this, I got it to work finally after a 2nd power supply... 1st I guess was DOA. This gives me time to wait a bit before upgrading since I have no immediate need.
My i7 920 cpu and/or MB (Likely just MB) died a couple days ago. I had a Asus P6T which was more trouble than it was worth IMO. I have a Samsung SSD drive, Nvidia GTX 560Ti. I've felt satisfied /w my current system but it prob was due a upgrade either way. I have a good case and a new PSU I already bought (EVGA Modular 650W)
I will be doing some mild gaming, nothing too extreme. Some RTS games and MMOs (If a good one ever comes around again). Witcher and other RPGs etc...
I am prob looking to spend $300-$500 but on the lower end if possible since I already have a bunch of parts
So here is my questions/concerns... do all Skylake CPUs have integrated graphics? That seems... so odd if so. I looked at the mid range stickie and was thinking of following it /w 6600 /w the AsRock MB. If my current MB hadn't died, I likely would have waited for the Zen but that isn't feasible /w my MB dying.
So this is my current replacement plan:
MB: AsRock Z710A
CPU: Intel i5 6600K
Newegg Combo Price: 331.98 - $30 MIR so 301.98 total.
Memory: G.SKILL F4-2666C15D-16GVR - $67
Anything else I can get for a bit less /w still good performance? I went /w the G.SKILL over the Mushkin as I would get it faster and all together.
