CPU + Mobo combo at microcenter

i've read something about a combo deal at micro center for a while now, but i dont live in the states, so i kept on disregarding it. but, now im in the states for vacation. are there any type of "crazy" deals for microcenter at this time of year? maybe in 2 days?

Microcenter almost always has CPU/MOBO combos. Certain AMD chips come with either a free cheapo board, or $40 off of select motherboards, that deal seems to have lasted for over a year now. They do similar with Intel, but they tend to sell the Intel chips cheaper and just give a discount on the board rather than free motherboard. Take a look at their website and find their current ad, it's available to view online.

Looks like the 2600k motherboard combo is all there is currently on the Intel side. $50 off the motherboard. 2500k combo not active currently.

Cheapest price on cpus non the less. Monday sales on a lot of stuff.

Edit:12/25/11 the 2500K combo looks to be live again. Only tested with one MB but it did do the $50 off the MB

I guess the crazy sales would depend what the prices are in your native country. Microcenter has the best prices on CPU's in the US for the most part. Sometimes Fry's will have a good deal but they have fewer stores than Microcenter does so you may not be near one of them.

Edit: Just tested again and it looks like the 2500K combo is back live again. Well at least for the only motherboard I tried it on. $50 off the motherboard.
