Did you all read that article in CPU (computer power user) magazine about who can build the cheapest machine? this month, it was who can build the cheapest linux box, and samir, the editor basically won with a cost of 300 compared to the other dude that built one for 800...

now one of his costs, or rather, non costs, was his free redhat linux 7.2...well he paid 49 cents to burn the cd...now correct me if im wrong, but aint redhat like 40 bux or something? last time i checked it was, and im pretty sure, this guy samir, editor of a pretty damn good magazine would go out and get a pirated copy of a piece of software, so my question...where can i get a copy of redhat free? legal...not illegal

Redhat Linux itself is free, the $40 cost is basically support plus the manuals. If you have a fast connection, you can download the whole iso from the net and burn a copy yourself. Or you can order a copy thru places like linuxmall.com...I think they charge like $5 for a copy..
