I just got my new CPU Magazine they had an extensive article on Volt moding the 7900 GT with good pictures. I already purchased my Silver Oxide Conductive Pen after reading an article on VRZone. The Magazine made it look much easer so I did it. I tried to do the 1.4 V Mod but it didn?t work still 1.19V so I filled in another trace beside the first to do 1.5 I got 1.49. I can now get 666 Mhz GPU. Next I shaded the little silver spot indicated to raise memory Voltage with a #2 Pencil. It still says 2V but the Nvidia Driver Detect Optimal Frequency wants to run over 900 Mhz X2 For DDR=1800 Memory Speed. I'm very happy with the Mod I ordered a Zalman Heat Pipe W/Ram Sinks to keep it cool now its running at 75 C.

My EVGA Geforce 7900 GT CO Super Clocked 3D Mark 06 Scores went from:

@ 1.9 V GPU 550 Mem 1580 4739
@1.9 V GPU 579 Mem 1610 4925
@2.49 V GPU 666 Mem 1800 5387

After Zalman GPU 675 1800 5433

O I thought this was the Overclocking Fourm where is the approiate place to post this kinda thing? This article just came out a few days ago. VR Zone said there was a Over Voltage resistor that needed to be removed. So It seemed like new info Sorry to Post Wrong or do you just say something to get more posts?.

This section is more for CPUs and CPU overclocking...so he means your post might make more sense in the video section heh

Sorry can I get an admin to move it?
EVGA Overclocked the card to begin with they cover overclocking. I've had good luck in the past with PNY I don't think that care or can tell exactly what overheated the card or at least thay diden't know when I accidently pulled off a plastic pin holding on the Voltage regulation heat sink on my old 6800 GT. But I got artifacting in BF2 after more than an hour of playing but GPU was only at 42 C Maby its the 900 Mhz RAM I'll post stable clock. Reason for over clocking I like to get 100 FPS in BF2 to be competitive in TWL Matches and I like to get the most for my money. I've ben doing consertive overclocking for about five years an never burnt anything.
