Hey all,
I am rather rusty at this... but can someone please inform this old goat as to whether the AMD 64/3200 with the 939 socket (Winchester I believe) has the actual Multiplier locked? I am currently running an AMD Barton 2500XP and with my Asus Nforce2 chipset I have both the multiplier higher and the bus speed increased. From what I read everyone is reaching crazy numbers but it seems only with the actual bus speed if you even call it that any more. Is the MSI Neo2 Plat with the Nforce3 chipset not allowing to modify the multiplier or is the AMD 64 not adjustable from get go?
sorry for this foolish question been trying to figure this out for a while now.
I always thought a sound combination of the multiplier and bus increase would yield a better more stable system.
Thanks
Bobo
