Hi Guys,

I have an Abit KT7A-Raid and Tbird 750.
Here's my setup:
Abit KT7A-Raid w/ Tbird 750
512megs of Crucial Cas2 PC133 Ram
3D Prophet DDR/DVI
blah blah blah

For some reason, i try to run it at 7.5x133 and it wont last more than a few minutes. I have all the latest drivers and bios files. It wont do 7.5x133 but it will do 7x140 stable. i try doing 7x143 = 1ghz but it wont do that either. is there any reason why it would do 140 (280 effectively) FSB but not 133?? I'd really like to hit 1ghz with this chip since I've heard lots of other people have.. if anyone has any suggestions I'd appreciate your input 🙂 Thanks!

7 x 140 is 980, so 7.5 at 133 is 1GHz. You lowered the multiplier, and got to 140MHz fsb. It's not the fsb that is the problem

It means that the chip you have is right on the edge of being able to do 1GHz.
Here are a few suggestions:
Try backing off ram to CAS3
Use good quality thermal paste, like Arctic Silver, if not already.
Upgrade your cooling, if needed.
Up your voltage to 1.85v
Connect your L7 bridges.

Those are some things that can help. 🙂

Ok..thanks, lemme try those settings. I always thought running the ram at Cas2 was better.
I'll get some artic silver also. Thanks!
