I recently put together a system that I'm planning on using as a home NAS. Specs are as follows:
ASUS H87I-PLUS Mini-ITX mobo
Intel G3220 CPU
Rosewill 450W 80 PLUS GOLD PS
G.SKILL Sniper 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1600
Upon first booting the system, I received an error message indicating that there was a CPU Over Voltage Error. From the information presented in the BIOS, it would seem that an overly high value for my CPU Input Voltage (VCCIN) is causing the error; as of right now, the BIOS is reporting a value of 4.080v.
I'm not sure whether this sort of error is the result of a faulty power supply or if there is something wrong with either my CPU/mobo or the voltage monitors.
The readings the BIOS is providing for my rails is as follows:
12v: +12.192
5v: +5.160
3.3v: +3.376
The system is running quite hot so I don't think it is a mere malfunction with the voltage monitors but I'm not sure whether I'd be able to resolve the problem on my own or what parts I ought to RMA.
Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.
