Well, all my goodies have arrived and now the fun starts...I hope. Assembly will have to be around work, maybe I can catch a break around Christmas
)
Got the Enzotech Ultra X. Wow is this thing big, and the copper base is super shiny looking. The mounting base looks sweet too.
My question is, in which direction do you point the heatpipes (the side of the base where they come out)? I have an abit p35 board. Because of it's heatsinks, it looks like pointing the heatpipes down or to the rear is not optimal. It looks like having them up towards the top of the case, or back towards the ram are the best two choices, clearance wise.
Seems like up, so the offset would not try to rotate the base, would make the most sense, but the drawing in the manual looks like they orientate it so the side with the heatpipes coming out is over the cpu clamp, thus pointing them sideways towards the ram. They do not state this or any other orientation, just looking at the picture.
So, fellow posters, how have you done yours? Thanks in advance, Chris.
