Ive got an AMD 64 3500+ @ 2.6 (going for 2.7) 1.5V w/XP-90 w/ Panaflo 92mm Fan on Highest setting. Using nTune the lowest it ever goes is 27/28C. But if I reboot and look in BIOS and let it sit for a bit, lowest it goes is 31/32. Which one should I believe? Using Everest Home I get the same reading for the CPU. Max load Ive see using I forget the name rtlmb something somthing.exe is 38C with Full Screen 8AA and all other bells and whistles. So therefore in BIOS it would prolly read 41/42 is proportional. EIther way if nTune or BIOS is right. Are these some good temps? ANd which one should I believe.

Ok. Now for the GPU. Ive got a LeadTek 7800 GTX @ 490/1360. Thats the max Ive been able to get well I can hit 495 but why bother. Ive got a Zalman VF-700AlCu on it.
Idle go from 39-42 and load Ive hit 72. BUt I was hitting 72 with stock cooler. These readings are from nTune and nVidia driver. But if I open up Everest the GPU readings are 10C lower. So which one is right?

With the stock cooler I was getting 51 Idle. Was the above normal or is it normal to begin with. And with the Zalman are those good temps too?

Thanks

Believe the highest number reported. Better to think it's running hotter than it is than to assume it's running cooler and possibly damage it because it's actually running hotter...

Everest, SiSoft Sandra, CPUz, etc are all Software Programs, and have to deal with many different combos of Mobos and CPU Gfx cards.
Your BIOS came with your Mobo, and should be trusted over any of these.
Sometimes these proggies are the same reading, sometimes they are close, sometimes they are way off.
Mine, for an example, Sandra shows my CPU temp at 4'C over BIOS, while showing one of my Case fans @ 6600rpm, when it's 2460rpm.
Use BIOS or a Hardware Temp Monitor, not software.

Everest does the same om my computer...after I boot up and wait a few minutes Everst mirrors exactly what my bios temp readings are.......so believe the lowest if it mirrors your bios reading after a few minutes,,,,

Good Luck!!
