CPU FSB Select JUMPER

My motherboard (DFI LANPARTY DK P35-T2RS ) wants me to set this jumper to one of the following settings

By CPU ----- system automatically runs according to the CPU's FSB.

FSB 800

FSB 1066

FSB 1333

I am using a Q6600 , so the FSB starts at 266 (or maybe it is considered 1066 ?)

I will try to overclock to 400 FSB so thats 400 (or maybe it is considered 1600 ?)

The choices seem that they are all either to high or to low. If I overclock, will the auto setting auto adjust from what the "By CPU" really is?

It is a P35 Chipset and specs say--
FSB 1333/1066MHz memory standard DDR2 800

Does auto setting slow the system down due to more "thinking" going on ?
Is my board capable of 400(1600)?.

Which should I select? 🙂
Thank You.

Since intel FSB's are quad pumped,
FSB800 would equate to 200fsb
FSB1066 would equate to 266fsb
FSB1333 would equate to 333fsb

For a Q6600, you should set it to the 1066 setting I believe, unless you want to OC then go for the 1333 setting.
