In the bios I see settings such as 3/3, 5/5, etc. What is the difference between 3/3 and 5/5 for example. To me, 3/3 and 5/5 both equal 1 so what's the difference?
I'm positive. Here's an example. If I have the FSB set at 133 MHz, a ratio of 3/3 and 5/5 would set the ram at the fsb speed of 133 mhz. I don't understand how a ratio of 3/3 is different than a ratio of 5/5. Any ideas?
I've been wondering the same thing Ferrari. The best I can tell is that they give you different proportions overall but still offer the 'even' ratio within each fraction. So 3/3 would be 5/5. However, 2/3 is not the same as 4/5.
