Hello fellows,

ATM I have a surface pro 4 with the i5-6300U with hd520 iGPU. I often call with people, one or more with skype or skype for business and when I am presenting my desktop the CPU usage skyrockets so the presented content becomes slower or excel calculations are slower and the device starts to become hot.

As the surface pro 4 becomes 3 years old I am going to pass it to my son and buy something new...

I am asking for a recommendation for a mobile device with a CPU (preffered with iGPU because of the power consumption) with the size of the surface pro or dell xps 13....which has low CPU usage when presenting with skype/maybe other soft like that.

Does the HD620, 630 accelerate somehow the skype calls? or which CPU/GPU on the market accelerates it with hardware?

I didn't know if this is a post to CPU or notebook forum

I've not found any Atom CPU that has "low" CPU usage when using Skype. Remember, the connection is (supposedly) encrypted, which takes CPU time as well.

Generally, it takes 50% or more CPU time on my Atom-based devices.
