CPU for Home Server

I am trying to create an ultra low power consumption passive heat sink system. Right now I am looking at Processors to see what would be the best. I have seen over at VIA?s Website their ultra low power consumption x86 Processors the VIA Antaur. C3, and Eden, and I was wondering if anyone has used any of these chips and what is the performance of each. The system I am trying to build is a home all purpose server, most likely running Windows 2000/XP

I replaced my buddies old AMD K6-2/233mhz PC with one frmo Fic (think it was CR51), but it hada Via 933mhz all in one type board...little thing works great with 256mb and XP Pro as a net surfing PC...figure it would be great for a home server as well...very very quiet and small..check too...$176 or so, jsut add HDD and mem and a CDRom and your set...

The big trick is going to be finding a case. I want to use S-ATA with RAID-5 (total package 4x130 + 200 = $720 just for the drives and card, the real price is probably about 2/3rds that) So I need a case that can hold 4x3.5 and 1x5.25 for the CD/DVD drive. Any ideas?

Well, you can get any case that'll hold those drives....and get a VIa Edenboard....they have (1) PCI slot I believe so you can plug in the RAID card and be on your way....

Yeah the But i am looking for the smallest case i can. it just needs to have 1x5.25 and 4x3.5 slots, but i can t seem to find any mico cases

Thanks, but unfortunatly that will not work. I need the extra drive bays for a S-ATA Raid Array, however i did manage to find a case that seems to work, but i wonder if there is even a smaller one
