cpu for cs gaming

i was wondering if an amd duron 1.1 ghz would be okay for gaming. such as counterstrike. and if it is a reliable cpu. any thoughts or suggestions?

Why would you want to buy a 1.1ghz Duron, when for $39 you can buy a 1.6ghz Duron that has a 33% higher fsb or even better, an Athlon 1800 that has the same higher fsb as the 1.6ghz Duron, but with twice the cache for $49? Links: 1.6ghz Duron and Athlon 1800.

Too bad you didn't mention that in your first post, you would have saved me and my 56k modem some time. Since I don't have that particular game, and have never bought a Duron of any speed, I can't tell you that. But when it comes to gaming, usually if you match an underpowered cpu with a decently fast video card, you can make do alright.
