cpu flip question

I have a intel 945g express ( or something like that) and a pentium D 8.2 ghz lg775 cpu could i flip that out for a C2D?(lg775)

What make and model of motherboard? How long have you had it?

If this is a somewhat older board, there is a strong chance that you cannot.

its about 6 months old its a dell e510

You'll have to check Dell's website to see if they have a BIOS for that mobo that supports C2D.
