cpu fan

I had a computer made by a local company and the cpu fan just had to be replaced for the 2nd time???? Can anybody tell me the reasoning for this? The computer is in my office in my home, hence not in a dusty environment (and even it it was, twice in 7 months would still seem unreasonable). Are there cheaper pcu fans that don't work as well? Why would this keep happening? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated...oh, and I've already heard about the covering the vents with everything from toilet paper to pantyhose...lol. I'm not concerned about preventing it, I'm concerned about whether my system is set up with good parts or not?

Of course, name brand fans will last longer. The cheapest designs might last 6 months or a few years. However, a typical ball bearing fan for a non-overclocked system would cost about $8 so keep a spare lying around. Put a probe in the heatsink or run Motherboard Monitor so that you can monitor your temperatures and RPMs
