CPU fan warning ! why?

I have a AMD 3500+ winchester on a ASUS A8V mobo. I went into BIOS and set it to adaptive overclocking .... after that all of my fans are slow. I set it back to auto overclocking but they are still slow... any ideas how to fix this?

I cant believe I stumped you guys .......

Anyways.... after google'n this it seems I am not the only one with this problem.
After a shut down of 5 minutes ..... it fixed itself!
Is this a sign of things to come with AMD? or ASUS?
