CPU fan speed control on MSI K8NGM2-FID?

After reading on the MSI Forum and on this forum, I have doubts that the Cool'n Quiet is working completely on the MSI K8NGM2-FID. With BIOS 3.1, it seems the processor clocks down to 1 GHZ, but that the processor fan keeps spinning at high speed.

If so, you get the Cool, but not the Quiet.

Looking at the BIOS settings in the manual, I am not seeing any option to control CPU fan speed in relation to processor temp or Cool'n Quiet. There is an option for controlling System fan (case fan) speed, however.

Can anybody confirm that the CPU fan can or cannot vary according to temp or CnQ settings?

Thanks

As usual, "Quiet" part of C'n'Q is left to the motherboard. The CPU fan speed is controlled automatically depending on the CPU temperature by Smart Fan Targe Temperature in BIOS. (manual p. 3-23). User can change "Targe Temperature", from 40 deg C to 70 deg C, by 5 deg C increments. If the CPU temperature is higher than the target temperature, the CPU fan runs at the full speed (2400rpm in case of the OEM fan that comes with XP-90RT). Otherwise it runs at a lower speed (around 1700rpm).
