Is there a "best" program for cpu fan speed (and other fans)? I currently have a Tuniq tower and nvidias monitor shows a CPU fan speed of 2327 rpm while speedfan shows 1148 rpm. How can I tell which one, if either, is correct?
The reason I ask is that when I try to play a video in WMP one of my fans kicks it up a notch and gets a bit loud. Temps don't rise or anything else. Then, about 3 minutes after I stop the video the fan noise goes back down. I want to find out what fan this is.
BTW I don't see either fan rpm rise or fall with starting or stopping a video so it may be my graphics card fan.
