I have a question regarding the CPU Heatsink and Fan (HSF) unit that sits on the processor. I know most HSF use a spring clip that you use to clip onto the motherboard's CPU socket. I have tried using these, and twice I have ended up slipping on the stout sping clip dmaging the motherboard, and another time I couldnt get the spring clip to clip onto my motherboard and I ended up damaging my processor. Now, what I want to know is there a good quality CPU HSF that you screw into place, like some water cooling systems have? I just dont want to even risk damaging my board or processor again with a crappy spring clip HSF. Email me back at camcglennon@mail.utexas.edu. Thanks in advance!

I think all of the swiftech's use 4 screws to mount the HSF. You didn't say what type of CPU you had or motherboard.

Here, check this out: link

I had a replica of this swiftech heatsink, and the mounting system rocks. Easiest I've found.
