Cpu fan making high pitch noise

hahah nice one galvanized. I would say if your fan is making a noise, try spraying it with some canned air and it that doesn't work, its possible that your fan is dying. To be safe, just get a new fan, they are cheap nowadays anyways. Who knows, it could make that high pitched noise forever and not die. When did the high pitch start and how long have you had this fan?

fan mechanism could be getting loose...its not unfixable but its not worth your time cause new ones are so cheap anyway. how old is the fan?
