I don't overclock and never plan on doing so - the stock fan is way too loud of bedroom HTPC use. Any suggestions? I'd like to spend as little as possible, so no funky water cooling set ups 🙂
 
Check out whats availible on Newegg. The customer eviews should be able to point out if the coolers your looking at are noise or not. many of them will have the fan's noaise rating either mentioned in the specs or at the web page for the cooler.

I have been searching for a silent solution for a bedroom htpc for a while, closest I have come in is a scythe mini ninja passive. I use it on a undervolted and underclocked, e8400
What psu are you using? What fans?
