CPU fan Fail or Speed too low

I get this error sometimes KEY WORD THERE on my computer saying that the CPU Fan Fail or speed to low i know what that means but is it a bad thing??

that means your processor is probably overheating and you should make sure your cpu fan is running or if it's at too low rpm

what rpm should it be at?? i just built this computer and its a decent computer amd atholon 64 Venice 3500

Had you checked if your 3 pin connecter from the fan on HSF was attached to the mobo?..if it is failing...time to replace one.

You need to adjust your cpu fan speed warning level. It's alerting you when the CoolnQuiet kicks in, and the motherboard slows down the fan (because your processor stopped running at 2.2 Ghz, and is then running at 1.0 Ghz). Make the warning level 900-950 rpm, and it'll never bother you again, or at least not until the fan goes bad.

hmm looks like this is happened to him before.
