CPU Cooling - Thermaltake Chrome Orb

I'm shooping for a heatsink for my new processor and came across this unique sink..

I was just wondering if anyone already had one.. specifically the "Chrome Orb For AMD socket 462/A 1GHz".. and if it worked as good as it looks..

i have one on a duron 650. It works great, the fan spins at about 11000 rpm, but I don't know about the cooling. I smashed my thermal sensor, fatally, but I've had no heat-related problems. That is one very very fast fan they put on the chrome orbs. Very easy installation. $15 well spent. Not as effective as Alpha coolers though.

If your looking for a good inexpensive cooler get the TAISOL CEK733092. Its AMD approved for 1gig plus. ORBs are just a bitch to get on or off and the interfere with components on some mobos (ABIT KT7).

I would recommend the Tai Sol, just about no risk of breaking your processor and it is fairly good at cooling

The fan on the Chrome Orb does NOT rotate @ 11K RPM. Otherwise you would have an ultra-high pitched whine coming out of your case.
