CPU Cooling Question

OK, so I ordered a Socket 775 3.06Ghz P4 for a new motherboard I bought, and got a fan to go with it. I ordered all this stuff from Tiger Direct, along with a cpu fan. Somehow, I missed the great big "Reviews" section on the fan until after it shipped. Well, according to the reviews there are mixed opinions on how good this fan is. Would I be better off to go ahead and buy a better fan and ditch the first one, or try this one and see how it works? Also, I've never actually installed a CPU fan with the thermal paste, so if I install this one and it doesn't work too good, does the paste come off pretty easy? Thanks for any help.

EDIT: Nevermind the part about the thermal paste. I've been reading and found several ways to take it off. I'd still like your opinions on the fan, though. Just to show how long I've been out of the computer scene, I thought Pentium 4 was the newest thing out there. I'm a little behind. Thanks again.

As long as you aren't planning on overclocking (or OCing very far), that fan will work fine. It's probably not any better than the Intel fan, but it will work.

Cool, thanks. I'm not really into overclocking, I'm a little too scared of it. I'm always afraid I'll fry everything. Thanks again.
