Cpu cooling question.....would you replace a Zalman 9500 with a Tuniq Tower 120?

I've got a perfectly good Zalman 9500 LED cpu cooler that will most likely be going onto my new build in a week or so....going from an AMD A64 4000+ that is OC'd to 3GHZ to an Intel E4300 cpu that I intend to OC a bit.

Been seeing the Tuniq Tower 120 being represented as the BEST air cooling solution out there....but is it worth ditching the 9500 in favor of the TT 120? The Zalman manages to keep the aforementioned A64 below 50C under heavy loads (usually around 46C at most), so would I see that much of a difference between it and the TT120?

I'm cheap and while I hate to spend money needlessly, I will pony up the bucks if it's realy worth it.

I wouldn't replace it because it would be a "better" cooler. On the other hand, I am going to be ordering a Thermalright SI-128, even though I have a brand new Ultra 120 sitting in the box. Reason is that I want air being pushed against the mobo to cool the heatpipe coolers on the 680i mobo, vice having the air being blown to the back...

Makes very little difference if you have proper airflow....
If it was inportant all the reviews would make a big deal out of the direction the air was being pulled in.. :D

That's the thing--I wanted to change the direction of the airflow.

dont go looking for high OC with Zalman 9500....unless u attach larger fan.
Stick with Skythe Infinity & Tuniq Tower......2 fans on Infinity (push/pull) works wonders :)
edit: is this a money decision , or a performance one :p

Corsa.....links pls.....

I used - (I now use the 9700)the Zalman 9500 to o/c my p4 3.2EE to 4.4......the Zalman performed flawlessly!!!!
Although Scythe products are just as fine as any top of the line heatsink on the market they are not the ultimate for over clocking!

:D

i second this, is this a money decision or a performance one?

If you dont mind the extra budget, a corsiar nautilus 500, at 149.99 will pwn both of these air coolers like no tommarrow. And its external.

Otherwise as others stated, no point, your shifting sideways in an upgrade and not up or down.
