CPU Cooling on ASUS

I am running that ASUS PC Probe just to see how my computer is doing and I noticed that there is the option for software CPU cooling. I checked to put it on when the CPU is overheated but am not sure what it does. Should I have it on all the time?

The new PC is running great but there are still some things I am trying to figure out.

it's just like RAIN - sends HLT commands to proc... you should always leave it on... i get good results w/ it on my CUSL2...

That Probe application isnt very well written. If your running in 1280x1024 you will not see the whole thing in the window. There are options that are outside the alotted window. Lower your resolution to about 800x600 and u will see them all. At least that worked for me.
