Scythe Ninja

I am definatly liking it, it is keeping my 805 at 55c and under at 3.6ghz, and is also nice and quiet.

oh, I saw that, but it didn't look like a ninja, that's the cooler you have?

yep, it's light weight, the fan is quiet, and it cools better than my thermaltake bigwater.

Do you have to get it at Newegg?

Well every other part is coming from newegg and it would make it a whole lot easier and if I pay for three day service from newegg it can get here in about a day or two so shipping is extremely fast.

Ooof, I clearly didn't have email reply notification on. Thanks for all the great feedback!

I decided I'd give the Ninja a try first, with a Silverstone fan with a fan controller. See what CFM works for me best. If I don't like the Ninja, I can always return it and try one of the others, eh? Everywhere is pretty nice with their RMA policies. If the Ninja doesn't work I think I'll try the SI or XP 120 next. I've ruled out the 012 cause I measured dimensions on it and it's just waaaay too big for my motherboard. I'd have huge issues fitting in memory for dual channel mode.

And newegg does have the Ninja - do a search for SCNJ and it'll pop right up for ya. :) Ah, and somewhat related, I'm going for the VF-900-Cu for my 7900GT. I have a VF-700-Cu on my 6800GT right now and it's great, and the 900 is supposed to be MUCH better. Thermaltake BGA copper ramsinks instead of the junky Zalman aluminum ones.

Thanks again everyone!

Picked up the Ninja with a Silverstone FM121 fan. It's freakin' amazing. Doesn't do much to keep my idle temps down, but who cares about idle? At load it only goes up by about 3-5 degrees from idle, where it used to go up 11-13 under load. Sexy! And please excuse the dead post revival. :)
