CPU Cooler and Weight Concerns

Hi,

I'm building a new computer and I have been shopping for CPU coolers. So I was told the AMD recommended weight was like 450g.

When looking at all these heavy duty coolers like the Zalman and Ninja coolers, how big of an issue is the weight of these massive things?

I plan on having my tower upright so should I be bothered by the fact that the Ninja or anything else would be hanging at a right angle off my CPU?

Parts I have so far:

eVGA NForce 4 SLI
eVGA 256mb 7800GT PCI-e
AMD 64 X2 3800+ Manchester
Cooler Master Centurion 5 Aluminum Case
