Hi everyone,

Is there a link/benchmark that shows a performance scores between a 4670K vs. 4770K under various games? I can't seem to find one.

I am curious to see if changing to i7 will benefit me in boosting my FPS on games that are more CPU dependent.

Thanks in advance.

Do you plan on keeping the "K" chips at the stock base frequency?

Hyperthreading is still a toss-up at this point, so in reality the L3 cache is the only other difference I see, but Im sure someone will correct me if I am wrong...

I highly doubt you would notice a difference in gaming....

You don't happen to live in the US near a Microcenter do you? The $199/$249 price tags might shift your opinion one way or the other.

Unfortunately, I'm located in Toronto Canada. the 4770Ks are usually around $320 and the 4670K is about $90 cheaper. I was just curious if my move (switching from Radeon 7990 to GTX 770 x 2) was the wrong one thinking that I should have changed my CPU instead. But anyways, thanks for your response.

Sorry, I missed your sig showing your chip/OC!

Yea I would..(I cant believe I am saying this)...hold on to your wallet for now, although I know that once you start upgrading it is hard to stop.

Your rig has some life in it for quite some time, assuming you keep the monitor you have.

There is certainly no need for you to upgrade from an i5 4670k to a 4770k. You will not notice any difference in gaming. In some cases the i5 4670k is actually faster than the i7 4770k in gaming even though it has a higher stock speed. But, the difference between the two for gaming is usually less than 1%.
