- Overview of the problem
The basic problem is that my CPU is too easily overloaded. When i am working in Adobe AI and move simple text around my computer slows down to a halt and it takes a few seconds for the program to move the text to its new location. Or when I open Google Earth my CPU again becomes overloaded and is unable to let the program run smoothly. And now when I run PowerDVD the video plays fine but the audio skips. Even simply switching windows will max the cpu usage to 100%.
So it appears I now have a stunted CPU.
- Full description of the problem and symptoms
I have had a series of problems ever since I installed AnyDVD and went through its 20 day trial period. I think on the last day of the trial that my computer started crashing(BSOD) due to Elbycdio.sys. Everytime i would reinstall the program my computer would immediatly get BSOD.
But another problem arose during that conflict. My computer now crashes regularly due to Rtlh64.sys (realtek x64 Ethernet drivers.) Even after installing the new drivers my computer still crashes if I used my Ethernet cable, it only crashes after a certain period of time online.
And now Microsoft Outlook won't allow me to access any of my e-mail accounts. Claiming my credentials are invalid.
Now the new "slow" processing speed has arose. And I am not sure what I can do.
I have tried to run Windows Vista Repair with the install CD but I can never get to the menu when I boot with it. I think this may be because my CD drive is not working so well. It started ripping some of my CDs a bit slower than it had previously. But that is just a guess.
and I don't think this is the problem either...
Is your processor Running slower than you think it should be ? Or at a different multiplier than it should be ?
