What does the red line mean compared to the greenline?

Could it be a virus

no programs were running in the background under "owner"

actually i have no idea wtf that red meter/line is..

i just preformed a primitive "test" and found my cpu usage to jump to about 65% at times when scrolling down pages...
so its not that far off
i have a 1700+@1700mhz...

go to processes and see if theres anything takeing cpu cycles? (unelss thats waht yo umean by last line?)

Thats about normal for me too. Nothing slows down. If things slow down, might wanna check to see if your primary ide device is set to whatever your max transfer rate is at.

That redline is the kernel times.. in the Task Manager for 2k and XP, you can go to View and select Show Kernel Times to turn that on or off. The higher that redline is, the higher the level of kernel access (at least that's what I think it is :p). That's nothing to worry about unless the red is constantly high.. like 100% all the time or something close.

well then it seems like theres nothin to worry about
might as well run adaware anyways...check to see if you have anything in startup folder, and run>msconfig (if you have xp?....or for 2k go search for xp's msconfig and dl / install that and run it)
