will i be able to just up the fsb to 250 mhz right away? No guarantee on that IMHO. While the ram is rated for FSB 250mhz, is the motherboard? Or the cpu (prolly depends on the multi you use, how fast the chip is etc.)

or do i have to do all the testing? I'd try it and see, if it wouldn't boot may have to just clear the CMOS

my system specs are in my sig
is there a chance that i will mess up my stuff buy raising my x2 to 2.5ghz on stock cooling? The risk comes from over-volting the cpu (raising vcore) thus generating more heat. So keep an eye on the temps

See my bolded comments above.

well im not sure but i think that the dfi ultra-d should be able to go to that and more, because it supposed to be an overclockers dream
and do you think that my x2 3800 could get about to 2.5ghz on stock cooling and stock vcore?
and lets just say, that if for some reason i cant break 220mhz, is there a way to run the ram at 200mhz?

Don't go straight up to 250 right away. Increase the HTT by increments of like 10 or so. And yes, you can run the RAM asynchronously with the HTT. Just use a memory divider. You can save $50 on the RAM by going with value RAM instead.

i also have another problem
i sold my ram to buy 2x 1gb
but when i had the ram, i could not break 220mhz, when i tried with clockgen, windows would freeze, and when i tried to boot from the bios as 220mhz, it would not boot to windows.
this is what i did and it wouldnt boot to windows
HT link multi = 2x
CPU multi = 5x
RAM divider = "100mhz 1:2"
my system specs is in my sig
can anyone help?
